About Me
I bring you the benefit of my 40 years' experience in the work force in a variety of job functions including retail sales, sales management, and administrative support--from cubicle farm to C-suite--in a wide range of industries including real estate development and construction management, industrial and infrastructure engineering, software development, administration of health research funding, and coffee shop franchise management.
I topped all that off with fifteen years of business ownership in the pet services industry in partnership with my sister. Our pet care business continues to bounce along without too much interference from us at this point, so we are able to step away from the day-to-day activity of wrangling dogs to pursue other passions. In fact, my knees are getting awfully sore, so I am very happy to be able to transition to a quiet lifestyle offering my services as a freelance proofreader and editor specializing in business communication.
In my new role as the Document Polisher, I work from my home in beautiful La Conner, Washington, and I am delighted to finally be making use of my bachelor's degree in Linguistics and all I learned in Mr. Hahn's most excellent high school English class.
