General Proofreading
General proofreading includes identifying typos and misspellings, missed punctuation, usage errors, noun/verb concerns, and misplaced modifiers. Yes. I know what those are, and I can fix them.
Copy Editing
Copy editing is quite different from general proofreading. It starts with general proofreading, and then adds recommendations for improvements to sentence and paragraph structure, and options to improve word choice, all while maintaining your unique "voice".

Anytime, As Needed Mini Plan

This subscription-based plan is ideal for those with fewer than 10 projects of up to 5,000 words per month. Proofreading $.03/word; Copy Editing $.04/word. $50/Month. Billed monthly.
Ad Hoc Copy Editing

After the upfront fee of $25 charged for our Introductory Meeting, Ad Hoc General Copy Editing projects are charged based on $.05/word, billed on a project-by-project basis.

This subscription-based plan is ideal for those with 10 to 20 projects per month, each up to 5,000 words. Proofreading $.03/word; Copy Editing $.04/word.
$40/Month. Billed monthly.
Ad Hoc Format Repair
Price negotiated based on estimated time required, and if accepted, will be added to the upfront fee of $25 charged for the Introductory Meeting.

$35/Month. Billed monthly.
MS Word Review is used to establish word count on the original document.
MS Word Track Changes is used for proposed corrections.
Pricing on projects larger than 5,000 words will be negotiated.

You have a written element you'd like to have proofread or edited before you send it off to its intended recipient. You contact me via my calendar and book a Zoom meeting so we can talk a bit about it.

You send me a copy of your document as an attachment to an email message, and I have a look at it.

I check MS Word's Word Count of your original document and evaluate the scope and breadth of the work needed and provide you with a quote for services and estimate the time it will take.
Upon receiving your approval, I go to work, activating MS Word's Track Changes feature. I save the revised version of the document and return that for you to review and accept the recommended changes as you see fit.
