Summoning the ghosts of my pedantic English teachers

I'm old. It's true.
I had the benefit of the education system of the 60s when students were taught how to read and write, when spelling and grammar were fundamental, when sentence and paragraph construction were practiced and graded, and when students were not promoted until they were proficient in those essentials.
The students who came after my generation have the benefit of access to a world of media, information, and technology we never imagined, but few studied with those pedantic English teachers. We have a lot of brilliant and knowledgeable businesspeople who are not confident in their writing skills. While it is not difficult for them to distinguish between good writing, and, well, not-so-good writing, their challenge is fixing it without a strong foundation in written English.
Entrepreneurs must present themselves in a very competitive marketplace, but unless they're "influencers" marketing themselves through Instagram or TicToc, their first impression is in their written communication, advertising, and promotion. Working independently, they are especially challenged, as they are working without the benefit of peers to act as their sounding boards, their second set of eyes, making sure they're presenting themselves in the best possible light.
So, if you're one of those entrepreneurs, I'm here, with all my pedantic English teachers like fondly remembered ghosts hovering at my shoulder, and I can help.
p.s. My 60s education did fail me in other ways. My generation learned only the pretty parts of our history, and that means my own education is incomplete and somewhat warped, so I continue to pursue knowledge. Yes, I'm old, but it is never too late to learn.
